2011-2012 Leadership Opportunities

The following Officer and Director-at-Large positions are up for election this year.  Terms for both Officers and Directors-at-Large are generally two years and begin July 1, although there may be some one year terms. In addition to the specific work associated with the Officer positions, there may be quarterly meetings for The Giving Circle’s Board of Directors during our program year which runs from September to May and other committee meetings.

Treasurer (1 position open)

• Manages the financial affairs of the Giving Circle.
• Controls the receipt and disbursement of funds and maintains full and accurate records of The Giving Circle finances.
• Ensures that appropriate financial controls are in place.
• Serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Management Committee.

Gift Officer (up to 2 positions open)

• Manages the implementation of the gift process.
• Develops and conducts biennial review of the Community Gift Policies and Procedures used to determine The Giving Circle’s financial gifts to the community.
• Serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Management Committee.

Directors-at-Large (up to 8 positions open)

• Provide the strategic leadership and oversight necessary to sustain The Giving Circle.
• Actively participate in one Giving Circle committee or work on specified project(s).
• Actively participate in membership recruitment and renewal.
• Attend meetings of the Board of Directors
