Come for 2 hrs or just 15 minutes!  Make 100 baskets or none at all! The point is to have a good time for a good cause. There is no admission charge — you can bring a cash or check donation of any amount (payable to ACT/The Giving Circle of Alexandria).

Can’t Come to Baskets for Books?  Here are Some Other Ways to Help:  

• Donate new and gift-quality used books appropriate for Kindergarten through 6th grades. If you cannot attend one of the Baskets for Books events, you may drop the books any time on the porch of Pamela Larson’s home near the Masonic Memorial. Send Pamela an e-mail for street address.
•  Please see this year’s Summer Reading Wish List if you would like to purchase books yourself.   
•  Local children’s bookseller Hooray for Books at 1555 King Street is offering 15% discounts off your Wright to Read purchases. Or you may place a phone order with Hooray for Books at 703.548.4092 and they will deliver your order directly to Wright to Read!!  
• Too busy to shoot hoops or shop? Please consider a monetary donation to support the Book Drive. Wright to Read will use all money received to buy books for summer reading packs. Make your check payable to ACT/The Giving Circle, write “Summer Book Drive” in the memo line and mail it to Christine Labrecque at P.O. Box 1627, Alexandria VA 22313.
