HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Donate cash – if you make a pledge, we’ll buy in bulk what’s needed.
  • Shop for infant items yourself. Here’s a list of the most urgently needed items for the New Baby Welcome Baskets:
    -Pacifiers
    -Burping cloths
-Diapers (sizes Newborn – 6 months)
    -Desitin/diaper cream
    -Nasal bulb syringe
    -Infant nail clippers

You may drop off your supplies at Holly Sloan’s home – 403 S. Fairfax Street.
  • Come to the January 18 event and help assemble the baskets.
Our goal is 100 New Baby Welcome Baskets.   In these tough economic times, home visiting programs serving our City are strapped; HFA and Alexandria Department of Health Field Nurses are committed to visiting all at-risk families of infants and providing these valuable starter kits. Information about health, services and parental engagement will also be included in the Baskets, as well as adorable picture frames created by our own Giving Circle Kids.  For more information or to pledge your support, please contact Hallie Smith. Thank you.
